Response to the Club Steering Wheel Lock Program is tremendous. More than 360 wheel locks have been distributed since the program started earlier this month. The initial supply has been exhausted, but more units are on the way.

A second order of the anti-theft devices has been placed with the manufacturer. The Wayne State University Police Department (WSUPD) expects the next shipment to arrive in just a few days.

WSUPD will notify you via e-mail when this second batch is available. The Club Twin Hooks, model 3010, Steering Wheel Lock will be available for $11 for each unit. At such a great deal, there is a limit of two locks per person, and you must present your OneCard.

WSUPD recommends that everyone use an anti-theft device for their vehicle.  For more information, read a previous Life@Wayne story.
